Casalino di San Gimignano

You will be staying in a farmhouse located just out side of SanGimignano in Tuscany. From the road you can see the medieval town and if you venture to the top of one of the 14th Century towers in town you can see our farmhouse nestled in the rolling hills.

The farmhouse is the last one on a dirt road just north of the town. It is surrounded on 3 sides by vineyards and olive groves. The views are breathtaking. It may well be the most beautiful spot on the earth you’ve seen. There are only a few farmhouses on the road.

Once you arrive inside the house you will find yourself in a lounging area complete with wine bar and grand piano (which needs restoring). Moving through you enter a sitting area with a large fireplace often used by the owners to B.B.Q. in true Tuscan style. To the right and down a few steps is the quaint kitchen. You may prepare your own food there if desired and late night snacks.

Just off the kitchen is the large dining area with doors leading to the back yard. From the dining area up a few steps is another dining area. As well, there is a bathroom with a bathtub on the main floor. The second floor contains the 5 bedrooms and another bathroom with a shower. Each room is beautifully unique and includes a queen size bed or two twin size beds. All the rooms are equipped with window shutters to keep out the heat during the day.

There is a lovely back yard with places to lounge and a covered dinning area. You will want to eat outside and enjoy the amazing Tuscan light.
